Final Plans for 54 Mile Canoe Race Across Mighty Peace
Final plans for the Annual Big Dam Canoe Race are being finalized in Hudson's Hope Fort St. John and Taylor. The 54 mile race starts at 10 a.m. Sunday August 31 leaving Hudson's Hope for Taylor along the Mighty Peace River. A pancake breakfast for competitors is at 8 a.m. in the Hudson's Hope Community Hall with a barbecue and dance the night before. Novelty races will precede the main event.
