Native carving house opens beside museum in Prince Rupert
A new carving house and display facility adjacent to the Museum of Northern British Columbia in Prince Rupert opened today. The project, supported by a $55,000 forgivable loan, lets native craftsmen create contemporary totem pieces and restore older poles while visitors view work in progress through display windows.
