Quarter Century Mark For W.A.C. Bennett Dam
The August 1 dedication marked 25 years since the W.A.C. Bennett Dam's completion. Ray Williston, ex-minister, recalled the battles with BC Electric, the Power Development Act merger into BC Hydro, site shifts, and the belt-conveyor erection that brought in fill. The feature highlights politics, engineering feats, and the dam’s enduring impact on BC’s power supply.
