TransCanada cites Peace pipeline boost in Q2 earnings

TransCanada Corporation reports stronger second quarter results with progress on the Prince Rupert Gas Transmission system and Costal GasLink projects. CEO Russ Girling notes three business segments performed well and highlights Energy East interest while Petronas funds $16 billion for Port Edward LNG. The PRGT line would move gas from North Montney near Dawson Creek to Prince Rupert Port Edward LNG facility, benefiting Peace Region in BC and Canada.
