Tax deadline approaches end of April for Canadian filers

The Canada Revenue Agency urges Canadians to file personal tax returns by midnight on April 30 to preserve benefits like GST and Canada Child Tax Benefit. Early filers receive faster refunds, with NETFILE TELEFILE and EFILE options touted as secure and swift. Over 9 million have filed, 4.5 million electronically. Late filing incurs penalties and interest. CRA offers extended hours and a help line at 1-800-959-8281, plus 24 hour access to forms at cra.gc.ca.
