Federated Pipelines pleads guilty in Pine River spill case
In Chetwynd on April 22, Federated Pipeline, a Pembina Pipelines unit, pleaded guilty to depositing a deleterious substance into Pine River after the August 1, 2000 oil spill. A total penalty of 200000 dollars was set, including 5000 dollar fine and 195000 to the Environmental Damages Fund for fish habitat protection.
