Mobile mammograms coming to Chetwynd in April
The BC Cancer Agency Screening Mammography Program will bring a free mobile service to Chetwynd for three days starting April 14, with 28 appointments still available at the Chetwynd Health Centre. The visit lasts under 15 minutes, and eligible women age 40 to 79 do not require a referral for a free mammogram. Subsequent stops include Tumbler Ridge on April 16–17 and Hudson's Hope on April 18, with results sent to the patient and regular doctor. Call 1-800-663-9203 or visit smpbc.ca for booking and a short presentation on how mammograms work.
