Arena Receives Donations to Aid Skaters
The Chetwynd Centennial Arena gained three equipment donations for skaters. Two skate sharpening machines, one for hockey skates and one for figure skates, are each valued around $500. Brent Proctor, the arena manager, plans a figure skating sharpening course this year. The Auxiliary to the Canadian Legion donated locally made ice walkers to help very young skaters. Westgates IGA and Marcel Girard donated the sharpening machines.

Tory MP caucus to hold regional conference in Prince George
The Progressive Conservative Caucus of British Columbia announced a regional conference in Prince George on April 18 and 19, 1975. Citizen of the Week Frank Wood of Chetwynd
Frank Wood and his wife Sandra with two children were highlighted as Citizen of the Week after moving to Chetwynd in 1968. He taught at Chetwynd Elementary Secondary for five and a half years before starting his own electrical contracting firm and served as Provincial Emergency Program Co ordinator for the village and nearby area.
