Sa Gee Twyn Day Care Society announces a new centre opening April 7 1975 at the Community Hall above the ice rink offering hours 7 30 am to 6 pm Monday to Friday for children aged 3 to 6. It features activity areas, a library, and a kitchen with snacks and lunch, funded by a 2500 equipment grant and 2200 operational grant with nine children currently enrolled and up to twenty capacity.

Village grants bursary for Chetwynd students 1975
The Village of Chetwynd approved a $200 bursary to School District 59 Chetwynd Senior High for a student from Chetwynd Secondary entering university college or technical school in September 1975. The grant followed a request by Mr. R. Johnstone Supervising Principal. Ald. Rex joined the committee selecting the award. Vancouver Fifty employees were honored at the Eleventh Annual 25 Years Service Awards Banquet held at the Hotel Vancouver by Canadian Forest Products Ltd and affiliates. Six hundred twenty eight attendees. Canfor Group total employees 4,800. Club roster now 630 members including 22 women. Carnival a big hit for local skaters
The figure skating carnival drew a large crowd as skaters showcased variety from preliminary to free skate. Guest skaters Darla Loiselle Miles Zero F.S.C. 16, Cynthia Zoltan 14, Elina Viola with a notable career, plus tests and judging from Prince George and Fort St John marked a productive event. Judges encouraged more participants while Elina and her sister Wilma plan a summer school. Four skaters passed tests, annual meeting set for April 21 to elect a new committee.

School closes for six days in BC spring vacation
British Columbia public schools will be closed for six days from Friday March 28 to Friday April 4, with Good Friday and Easter Monday statutory holidays. The balance of the break runs through the week, the school year ends June 26 for pupils and June 27 for teachers, and the 1975 76 calendar begins July 1 with classes starting September 3.
