Roadkill disposal sparks complaints in Chetwynd area
Car casses from roadkill attract residents and raise concerns as Cariboo Road Services cleans up about two deer daily, totaling around 60 monthly. Bodies are disposed of off forest service roads and near the Sukunka Bridge due to winter snow, with CRS stating multiple sites exist across the Peace region and that some items may not be CRS property. Ministry of Transportation officials were not available for comment.
