Death of Jesse Mealy Chehalis Youth
Jesse Howard Mealy youngest son of Mr and Mrs Alex Mealy died at his Chehalis home Sunday evening of heart failure following a bout with typhoid fever and hemorrhages. Born January 11 1875 in Tylersburg Pa he moved to Chehalis in 1891 and attended Portland business college graduating in 1896. The funeral Tuesday afternoon was held at the family residence with Rev T E Elliott Rev Brown and Rev Wheeler officiating and a large crowd in attendance. He was described as a agreeable, affectionate young man who helped his family during illness and won friendships in the community. He leaves his parents seven sisters and one brother.
