Solons Vote To Extend Bank Five Years
Washington The Senate approved 72 to 1 a bill to extend the Export-Import Bank for five years to June 30, 1968 and to add 2 billion dollars to its borrowing authority. Sen. Strom Thurmond cast the dissenting vote as House and Senate confer over how the extra funds are made available. The bank would lapse without the extension.
