MOBILE Alabama June 30. Harold Hichrieder a ten years old confessed to officers that he and an unidentified man planned to fight extradition to Indiana. He claimed the car wreck near Indianapolis killed his companion who he did not name. He was jailed after being recognized by a Chicago man. The case involves a furnace of events and a pursuit across states with Mobile and Indiana authorities seeking extradition. The prisoner’s wife Leah Schroeder is among those involved in the extended manhunt referenced in court filings.

Pittsburgh report says Mrs Mary Mauch 34 of Pinleyville was robbed of 4000 by two men who lured her with a hospital claim. One suspect Dan Augustovich 35 of McKeesport was arrested after authorities found over 3000 with him. They had persuaded her her brother in Pittsburgh hospital needed 4900 and drove her to a wooded area near the Charleroi electric line where the money was taken and the men fled.
