Vacation Flight Sparks Dark Plans at Amalgamated Co
Julie Conover, worker in Department S at Amalgamated Processing Co., joins a vacation bound for a Montana dude ranch with 29 other girls. Manager T. H. Nestor warns of vigilance against threats to the plant and war effort as jealousy and intrigue surface among Lt. Tony Clair and forewoman Bieta Burrows. The group departs by plane from an Army field, marveling at the views but notes of unease linger as they travel toward the Lazy-M Ranch.
