Three Interwoven strike enemies fined in Martinsburg
In Martinsburg on June 19 three Interwoven Stocking Company strikers, Mildred Smallwood Jennings Smallwood and Martha Barker, were fined 50 dollars and costs and had nine month jail sentences suspended after pleading guilty to a misdemeanor charge of conspiring to do bodily harm. They withdrew guilty pleas to a felony. Circuit Judge Decatur H. Rodgers ordered remaining defendants from over 50 indicted for violence during the strike to appear June 24.
