Slave Traffic in Girls Uncovered in Punjab

Indian press reports reveal a slave ring selling young girls from eastern India in Punjab for 2000 to 5000 rupees. The operation, led by Bhag Singh through various representatives, recruited by offering girls in Eastern Bengal and Orissa states. Five girls were found locked in Govindarth village awaiting sale.

New Air Force Cobra Dane Radar Station to Cost Sixty Million

The Air Force ordered a large phased array radar named Cobra Dane to track space objects from the Aleutians to the western edge of the Pacific. Raytheon will build the $29.6 million contract for Semya Air Force Station Maine and Wayland, while total installation costs approach $60 million. The system replaces older FPB-17 and FPS-40 radars and can monitor many objects simultaneously with multiple small digital eyes.
