House OKs War Powers Restriction in War Funds Debate
The House Foreign Affairs Committee approved a 120 day war powers measure with an Indochina extension. The vote 30 to 4 included a Wolfe amendment seeking a 100 day bombing halt and a shift toward ceasing all bombing funds without congressional approval. The bill aims to force withdrawal of US forces within 120 days unless Congress approves.
