Coal mines unlikely to shut down this summer says Collisson
Morgantown June 5 Capt N H Collisson federal coal mines administrator said he was very confident there would be no bituminous mine shutdown this summer and there exists an excellent chance for an agreement to obviate a walkout when mines revert from government operation to private ownership at the end of the month He noted no factual basis for fears driven by stockpiles and that demand supports a normal coal supply with both domestic and overseas markets needing coal He planned to return to Pittsburgh that evening and the Morgan horse note adds Vermont breeding since 1789.
