Andrews Named Head Assigning Power Plant
Howard R. Andrews, former superintendent of the Appalachian Electric Power Co. generating plant at Kenova, was named head of the new 50 million dollar Philip Sporn power generating plant at Graham Station north of Pt. Pleasant. The plant, jointly owned by Appalachian and Ohio Power Co., will have three units of 185 000 horsepower. the first unit to operate next July with others in 1950 and 1951.
