North-South week features golf show and pageant

Francis Speedy Swillinger 27 of Toledo Ave was questioned as Charleston police and the prosecutor's office investigate the strangulation death of John Randolph Nickoson 26. Ohio Man Faces Charges Over Fatal West Virginia Crash
Summersville West Virginia August 6 Special Three women were killed when a 1955 car traveling at terrific speed collided head on with the car carrying the victims near Worth ten miles north of Summersville on West Virginia 43. Ernestine Williams 44 of Shinnston was driving. Flora Regina Robey 54 of Shinnston died at Richwood hospital. Sue Callahan 3? of Richwood among the deceased. Russell Rose 34 of North Canton Ohio, the other driver, was injured and likely charged with manslaughter. The crash occurred in front of Ely Thomas Lumber Co at Werth. State police described Rose as speeding, veering across the curve, causing the fatal impact. Williams’ car was registered to Ernestine Williams. Burial plans and services were announced for the victims.
