Little Virgil Bowlsby Rests After Illness Outside Des Moines

Virgil Bowlsby born August 17 1901 in Des Moines Iowa died August 18 1907 at home west of Cleveland Iowa aged 6 years and 1 day. He lived with grandmother Mrs Eliza Danner and great grandmother Mrs Tabitha Spencer most of his life. He grew pale two months ago from constitutional fever and anemia. Parents sought care in Des Moines but he worsened then returned home where diphtheria set in and he died at 11 o'clock Sunday night. The undertaker removed the body to Last Chance Cemetery after quarantine prevented attendees from joining the funeral cortege.
