Native of Johnson County Indiana born March 10 1831 died August 11 1907 at Chariton Iowa. He served in Co F 4th Minnesota Infantry and fought at Altoona before returning to Iowa where he married Matilda Erb in 1866 and joined Iseminger Post in 1882. His G A R comrades laid him to rest in Chariton cemetery and a memorial note was written for his widow.
