Two Killed In Car Crash Near Assaria Kansas
Two people died and two were seriously hurt in a head on crash on US 81 four miles south of Assaria. Victims were Mrs. Lee Bradley 72 Assaria and Charles Joe Weston about 50 Liberal. Lee Bradley 79 husband of the dead woman and Bert F Rogers 50 Hutchinson were listed in critical condition at a Lindsborg hospital. The Bradleys were en route to McPherson for a family gathering while Rogers and Weston were headed to Salina for a business meeting.

Erie police report two St Paul youths aged 16 and 11 were caught taking gasoline from a tank at an Oliver Craig cabin two miles west of St Paul. Truck Hits Loose Horse Fatally on Galesburg Road
A 1958 International truck driven by Dwight Foust and passenger Kenneth Shrum struck a loose horse near Galesburg, killing the animal owned by Haskell Ballard. Foust and Shrum were uninjured. the crash occurred about 7:40 p.m. Sheriff's officials reported the right fender, grille and radiator were damaged.

Farmer’s Wife Dies In Tractor Accident near Otis Kansas
