In Trenton AP report Tiny Tim announces plans to marry 17 year old Vicki Budinger in New Jersey after meeting her in Philadelphia last June. They became engaged after a conversation about his book and a tearful TV moment. Tim, real name Hubert Kaulhry, is a performer with Lebanese and Jewish heritage.
AP reports U S, South Vietnamese and enemy deaths all edged up last week with more enemy activity in the north. 143 Americans were killed, 529 government soldiers perished, and 2 361 enemy combatants died, with totals revised from prior weeks. Wounded rose to 1 343, bringing U S deaths to 38 593 since Jan 1 1961.
Los Angeles federal reporting states Paul Ferguson 23 and Thomas Ferguson 18 were found guilty of first degree murder in the slaying of Ramon Navarro at his Hollywood Hills home on October 30. Prosecutors said the brothers killed Navarro over a rumored $5,000 and tortured him after finding no money. Paul faces the death penalty, Thomas gets life imprisonment as he was 17, while a jury will decide if Paul should receive the gas chamber.
President Nixon urged 126 UN members to press Hanoi into serious peace negotiations in a 30 minute General Assembly speech. He blamed North Vietnam for the Paris stalemate and voiced readiness to talk with Communist China and work with the Soviet Union on arms control and Middle East issues. Gromyko applauded as the Cuban and Albanian delegates boycotted.
Frank Sawyer 70 years old walked from the Kansas State Penitentiary after Gov. Docking pardoned him for a 1932 bank robbery. He served 49 years for murder and bank robbery and said he had aided other robberies. He planned to live with a nephew in Odessa Texas and work as a painter. He credited gangster Alvin Karpis with helping secure his pardon.
City planning commission debates a proposed mobile home park ordinance to guide new parks on safety, space, drainage and access while avoiding prohibitive costs. Key rules include minimum unit space, 16 foot separation, 200 foot park boundary, all weather roads, underground utilities, skirted units and required recreation space. The plan calls for inspections and ordinance drafting with public review in October.

His mother Mrs. Geral dine Stanfield awaits Army details and funeral arrangements.
