A late night chase by police in Ft. Scott Kansas ended when a car carrying three Nevada Missouri youths crashed after a hit and run call. Edward Marquardt died at Ft. Scott Hospital. Girl Lost in Flash Flood Near Mission Hills Country Club
Bonnie Robinson an 18 year old Kansas City Kansas girl was swept from a car washed off a low water bridge during a flash flood on Indian Creek near Mission Hills. Companions identified missing Donna Bowen and two Kansas City Kansas youths Harold West and Kenny Patchin. A man on the bank pulled Robinson from the floodwaters while another helped guide the rescue with a flashlight.
