Kiwanis Dental Clinic Opens For Rural Students

Reverse Gear Jams Crashes Wrecks Window and Meter
A car driven by Mrs. Roy Kirkpatrick backed from a parking space in reverse causing a plate glass window to shatter and a parking meter to be knocked over near 119 W. Main. The car struck the Union LP Gas office wall and damaged its rear, while the occupants including two young children were uninjured. Two additional crashes were logged that day at First and Lincoln and near Third and Highland.

A runaway buffalo owned by Everett L. McCann was tracked by a Bourbon County posse and shot to death on the Dean Stewart farm near Moran after a week of unrest among local farm families.
