Parole officer fatally stabbed in Kansas City Kansas

Melvin Marsh, 27, a Chanute native, narrowly escaped death in a Kansas City Kansas stabbing that left state parole officer Paul J. Weber, 26, dead. Marsh and Weber confronted a parolee at Eva Mae Turner’s home before Weber was stabbed. Marsh barricaded himself in a closet to survive. Police planned to charge a 20 year old parolee with murder.
