Family Dispute Fatal To Kansas Man
Albert Zimmer, 47, Schoenchen, Kansas, was killed by a shotgun blast at his parents’ home near Rush Center. His brother Ed Zimmer, 35, was arrested after the shooting as the family argued over whether Ed should return to Larned state hospital. US75 Bypass Opening Bypassed Buffalo Traffic Now Possible
The US75 relocation bypassing Buffalo opened to traffic today per Glenn A. Sutton of the State Highway Commission. The new route runs 5.2 miles from two miles north of the K39 junction, west and north with a rock base and asphalt surface, linking to the former US75 near Beach-road southeast of Buffalo. The Wilson County State Lake dam section was built as part of the project in cooperation with state agencies. Highway K39 ties in northwest of the dam, but its surface is pending extension into Chanute next year via Beach Street road.

Ammonia Fumes Force Evacuation Near Pittsburgh Plant
