Four people died in a two alarm blaze that swept a three story Roxbury tenement. Victims identified include Ronald Bennett 20 and his children Carl 4 and Sherre 22. A woman tentatively named Alice Ford 70 died from smoke inhalation. Delores Bennett 20 was away at the time. Twelve others were displaced and fires in two nearby buildings prompted investigations.

Two armed bandits robbed the First National Bank in Maud Oklahoma at 9 27 this morning taking over 17000 dollars. Bank President B G Green said the men forced five employees and one customer to lie on the floor and compelled him to empty the vault. FBI state and county officers began an investigation. Offerse Kansas reports Mr and Mrs George E Ryan were found dead in the back seat of their car in the Ryan home garage. Sheriff Leonard Carlson said it appeared to be a double death by their own action with a hose from the exhaust and a wood block holding the accelerator down. The gasoline tank was empty. Ryan, about 30, and his wife, about 57, were local farmers.

Fire at the W. H. Klemp factory destroyed the frame building used for furniture repair and storage. Louis Klemp said it was uninsured and the south wall collapsed into the street, lighting a blaze that damaged the fire department ladder and knocked out telephone service to about 1,500 subscribers. A 64 year old liquor store clerk Ira Gross was beaten during a late yesterday robbery in Topeka. The suspect held up the store and fled with about $200 in cash and checks. Gross was hospitalized for severe scalp lacerations.
