Bartlesville Boy Found Dead in Home
A 13-year-old boy Curtis Lee Renfro was found dead in his Bartlesville home on Sunday. Police theorize murder by suffocation with the nude body bound and a plastic cover over the head. Autopsy ordered. County Attorney Nathan Graham said no signs of molestation or other marks were found. Police Chief W J Jarvis canvassed the neighborhood for witnesses.

Chanute voters have three weeks left to meet registration rules for the general election on November 8. Minor Crashes Reported In City Saturday
Police investigated four minor traffic incidents on Saturday. Herbert D. Vance and Mrs. Charles Stanlick were involved in a two car bump at 14 S. Lincoln with $15 damage to the Stanlick Dodge and no damage to Vance’s Ford. A 1955 GMC truck hit a parked 1955 Pontiac at Highland and Main causing $35 damage.
