Independent eastern Kansas oil producers plan a meeting next Tuesday in Eureka to discuss Sinclair Pipe Line Co. decision to discontinue the Eureka Humboldt corridor and the impact on Pascala Bedecene and Paola Humboldt crude transport. H. E. Ozenberger warns loss of pipelines could ruin stripper producers as river flooding and sand fracture treatments revive area output. Since Oct 1 Sinclair has accepted no oil for transport on its Eureka Humboldt line.
Six pieces of heavy earth moving gear belonging to C. F. Lytle Construction Co. were damaged by dynamite blasts early today. The blasts occurred east of the Sedgwick County line in Butler County, targeting a crane, a large truck and four earth carriers. Sheriff Glenn Tarrant said the explosions were set in the cabs of the crane and truck, with axles damaged. The contractor holds a turnpike contract from El Dorado to east of Wichita.
Robert A. Finney of Humboldt, president of the Kansas Chamber of Commerce, delivered the concluding address at the Kansas Chamber of Commerce Executives annual meeting in Hutchinson. Wayne Taylor presented a letter inviting the group to meet in Chanute next year, with time and place to be decided.

The Advisory Group of Welfare for Neosho County was formed at a Chanute dinner meeting at the Tioga Hotel. Officers elected: Rev. William T. Hunt chair, Mrs. Gordon Gray vice chair, Mrs. Bernard Smith secretary, with terms for one year. The group, 15 members, will advise on welfare matters and policy formulation to interpret public welfare work to the community.
Fire Chief C W Brennan cited that 90 percent of fires last year were preventable, destroying 11 000 lives and 870 984 000 dollars in the United States. He urged citizens to observe Fire Prevention Week by checking homes for hazards and correcting unsafe conditions.
The annual Teen Canteen fund drive will be directed this fall by Mr. and Mrs. David McCune. Warren Fitch announced the plan for the drive to raise funds for the youth center during the first week of November. Details are being finalized and will be announced soon.
A second mystery blast rocked the San Francisco bay area following a prior incident nine days earlier. A rumbling noise preceded a sharp explosion near the Bay Bridge, while military airfields reported jets overhead and denied involvement. Acting Mayor James Leo Halley urged Defense Secretary Charles Wilson to investigate the earlier blast.

George Bridges of Apache Oklahoma named vice commander. W E May of Chanute reelected adjutant and quartermaster. Walter Lawrence of Baxter Springs reelected chaplain.
Parson s reports that many Republicans could run if Eisenhower does not seek re election. Senator Carlson warned of attacks by left wingers and ADA on any GOP nominee. Governor Hall urged faith with voters, citing administration ties to the 1954 platform. Other speakers included Myron George Darby Sem ple and H R Fatzer.
