Buffalo to Get EPA Grant for Sewer Project

Buffalo will receive a 479850 grant covering 75 percent of the sewer project cost, with bids to be opened when funds arrive. Mayor Earl Stevens announced at the council meeting. The city plans to take over trash pickup and haul to a new landfill north of Altoona each Monday at 8 am on a trial basis. The council also signed a lease to sell five city lots to T J Clark of Kansas City.
