A moonshine still was added to the Agricultural Hall of Fame display in Bonner Springs Kansas. Joseph A Boyer of Blue Springs Georgia arranged the exhibit after securing a confiscated still and noted its capacity to produce up to 100 gallons of whisky daily.

Forest Service seeks Wild and Scenic status for four rivers
The Forest Service sent to Congress plans to protect four rivers under the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act. Eleven Point River in Missouri is designated scenic in a 44.4 mile stretch, to remain free of impoundments with undeveloped shorelines and limited road access. The area covers 14,191 acres from near Thomasville to near Gatewood near the Missouri-Arkansas border.

Five Poole family members held after marijuana plots found
Sheriff’s deputies arrested George Poole and his wife Marie along with their sons Gary Jim and Jerry after two six foot high marijuana plots about 12 by 12 feet were discovered near their home five miles south of Joplin. The plants were weeded and removed.
