Two Larned Escapees Captured Near Rozel
Two patients who escaped from Larned State Hospital on September 26 were captured together in a rural area south of Rozel in western Pawnee County. Aiuppa Arrested After Hunting Trip For Dove Possession
Joseph J. Aiuppa a 56 year old Chicago gambling device maker was arrested on return from a hunting trip in Pittsburg Kansas area on illegal possession of 476 mourning doves. Authorities found 500 doves iced in the trunk of his Cadillac and charged him with illegal possession and transporting across state lines. Each count carries up to six months in jail or a 500 dollar fine with bond posted awaiting a hearing on October 14.

Murder hearing opens for Shaw couple in Bartlesville case
