Mr and Mrs E M Parr of 517 N Highland will attend ceremonies Oct 5 8 marking the first commercial gas flow from their 1922 drilled Pouce Coupe No 1 well in Fort St John field. The 800 mile line runs to Vancouver with Westcoast Transmission Co as host. the event includes dinners with Canadian officials and the lieutenant governor. Parr, who drilled the well, later worked across South America and retired in 1946. a Canadian company will publish an article about his work for British Columbia centennial celebrations.
