Sharp Little Girl Saves Baby Sister
In East Providence six year old Ruth Kitchen rescued her 18 month old sister Robin from a burning crib yesterday. She pulled Robin free and used a home fire extinguisher to douse the flames after an electric lamp toppled and set the crib blanket ablaze while the mother was away. Ruth said she did not want Robin to get hurt or the house to burn.
