Burlington Here Eight Years at Local Garment Plant
The Burlington Manufacturing Company plant here marks eight years since opening on November 18, 1948. It now employs 104 workers manufacturing overalls jackets and one piece service suits with about 70 percent of production for Montgomery Ward & Co. and the rest for other retailers. The plant once reached 170 workers before a Miami Oklahoma plant opened and a Concordia Missouri plant produced uniform pants shirts and jackets.
