Lyle Holman age 301 North Western scored a hole in one with a six iron from the No 5 tee on a temporary No 5 green at Chanute Country Club while others in the All Year Round All Weather foursome including Jay Tabor Ralph Deitrich and Robert Koch watched the shot disappear into the cup. It was Holman s first hole in one joining two previous members Jay Tabor and Ralph Deitrich who previously achieved the feat.

Her mother Mrs Glen Camper said the chances of survival were too small to attempt it. Mary was brought to the hospital last Thursday and returned to school Monday.
