Neosho Memorial Hospital board approves a $5 per patient day rise in room charges to $60 semi private and $65 private effective after Dec 1. administrator Murray Brown also secured $109 for next year pay raises and a May 1 completion goal for a new construction phase.
Moran Policy changes in housekeeping were discussed at the USD 256 board of education meeting Monday night according to William Muckenthaler, superintendent. The board agreed to set Nov. 24 as the day to tour the school facilities and note any problems in the district. It was proposed to develop a vocational training program and extend the community education program. The community education program or adult education, said Muckenthaler, deals with subjects of interest to adults.
United Nations General Assembly adopts 10 anti apartheid resolutions calling for arms embargoes trade and sports bans against the racist regime. The 108 to 11 vote with 22 abstentions marks a broad push for Pretoria's isolation with major nations split over economic measures.
