Neosho Memorial Board OKs Room Rate Increase

Neosho Memorial Hospital board approves a $5 per patient day rise in room charges to $60 semi private and $65 private effective after Dec 1. administrator Murray Brown also secured $109 for next year pay raises and a May 1 completion goal for a new construction phase.

USD 256 board plans school tour

Moran Policy changes in housekeeping were discussed at the USD 256 board of education meeting Monday night according to William Muckenthaler, superintendent. The board agreed to set Nov. 24 as the day to tour the school facilities and note any problems in the district. It was proposed to develop a vocational training program and extend the community education program. The community education program or adult education, said Muckenthaler, deals with subjects of interest to adults.

Veterans Day Parade on Main Street in town

The Veterans Day parade will start 10 30 a m Thursday led by a combined American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars color guard. Floats scouts Shrine members and 10 bands join in.
