A Fort Riley soldier was killed and three others injured in a two car collision seven miles east of Salina on U S 40. The deceased is Pvt Oliver R Coy Jr 21. Injured include Pvt Donald Crig ger 19 of Fort Riley driver of Coys car Arnold Mjaatviet 26 Edmonton Alberta Canada and T Sgt Basham McClure 33 Fort Riley. Mjaatviet suffered possible skull fracture while McClure and Crigger had cuts and bruises.

Eleven on Bomber Crash Into Ocean
A Navy P2V Neptune patrol bomber with 11 crew members crashed in the Atlantic 300 miles east of Norfolk during an antisubmarine training mission. Coast Guard reported liferafts and possible casualties while the Lake Champlain carrier was nearby but not the crash source. New County Agent Named for Neosho County
Bill Dickson, long time assistant county agent in Neosho County since February, becomes the new county agent effective December 1 for the Neosho County Agricultural Extension Council. He succeeds Gale Mullen who resigns to join the Farm Management Assn as field man. Mullen covers 21 southeast Kansas counties and will stay in Erie with his family. Dickson, from Lyon County, is a 1956 Kansas State University animal husbandry grad who served three years in the Air Force and earned a 1960 MS in the same field at K State. His first Extension Service posting was in Neosho County.
