Prisoner Hangs Self in City Jail Cell
Billy Allen Brown of Fredonia, 47, was found dead in his jail cell at 8:45 a.m. after officers brought breakfast. He allegedly hanged himself with a belt from the cell bars. Coroner Dr. Henry Baker said Brown died more than three hours earlier after being last seen alive Friday evening. He was arrested Friday on intoxication and dis orderly conduct charges at the Meyers home southeast of town. Funeral arrangements were incomplete.
