Three Persons Shaken Up In Highway Crash
Three persons were shaken up in a traffic accident on US 59 two miles south of here yesterday at about 4 15 p m. A 1962 Pontiac driven by Dora Foust and a 1963 Volkswagen driven by Robert Garner collided from the rear. Lillie Wheeler of rural Erie, a passenger in the Foust car, was also involved. Damage was $300 to the Pontiac and $250 to the Volkswagen. In a second incident on Main Street in St Paul at about 4 30 p m a 1965 Chevrolet driven by Lloyd Audiss and a 1951 Chevrolet driven by James R Roberts were involved. Roberts 82 backs from a parking place. Audiss car damaged $75. Roberts car none.

The body of John Elizabeth Sherriff, 30, a teacher from Overland Park Kansas, was found Friday beside U S 50 about 14 miles southwest of Ottawa. Officers said the crash occurred after 10 p m Thursday with the car unseen by passing motorists. A truck driver glimpsed something Friday morning and a garage owner led investigators to the wreck where the car lay down an embankment wrapped around a pole.
