Heavy supply losses on Ho Chi Minh trail hinder Vietnam war effort
U S military officials report only about one eighth of the more than 7 500 tons of supplies sent into the Ho Chi Minh trail reached Vietnamese and Viet Cong troops in South Vietnam and Cambodia during the six month dry season. They cite nightly air attacks on trucks and ground operations in Laos as the main causes and warn supplies will be scarce until the next dry season.
