Seven young bridge construction workers were injured in a one car crash near Ness City. The Chanute pair Bill E. Bailey and Larry C. Atkins both 20, and Erie resident Ronald Yockey 20, were among the injured. Driver Aikins, blinded by dust, lost control on a newly graded dirt road about 18 miles southwest of Ness City. Edwin J. Colson, 19, of Cawker City, was reported critically hurt. others sustained less serious injuries.
