Long-lived Adam Chickadonz to be honored in Chanute and Tulsa
Plans unfold for a family dinner at First Methodist Chanute and a 100th birthday open house in Tulsa. Adam Chickadonz, born May 13, 1855 in Marshall Kansas, will be feted with his four sons and three daughters, 11 grandchildren, and 23 great grandchildren. He helped build the Santa Fe railway from Chanute to Thayer and credits his long life to hard work and abstinence from tobacco and liquor as he nears the milestone Friday.

Baby revived after bus stoppage in Niagara Falls
A woman on a Niagara Falls city bus cried that her five month old baby was not breathing. Driver Albert P. Mezhir stopped his route and drove several blocks to headquarters where the infant was revived with oxygen.
