Two of the 106000 U.S. veterans who fought in the Indian wars are Reginald A. Bradley, 101, of Grass Valley California, and Fredrak W. Fraske, 97, of Chicago. Veterans Administration count lists 26656000 total survivors with 14660000 from World War II and 7840000 from other eras. Average veteran age is 44.2 years. Spanish-American War vets average 89.9 years with 7000 in that group. Korean and Vietnam War veterans number 5840000 and 2760000 respectively.

Plane wreck near Byers takes three McGowan lives
Three members of a Kansas family—Mr and Mrs Ralph McGowan and their 11 year old daughter Charlene—were found dead in a single engine plane wreck three miles west of Byers Colorado. The CAP identified the bodies after the wreck was sighted from the air and a ground party confirmed the deaths. The plane had radioed it was lost in a snowstorm from Denver toward Kaw home near St Francis.
