Left Hand Pitch a Six Ladybugs from Circle No. 3 of the Military Order of the Ladybugs Auxiliary of the Cooties visited the Southeast Kansas Tuberculosis Hospital yesterday. They offered leatherwork, ceramics, and 34 dozen cookies to patients and toured the wards for about two hours.

Two Persons Hurt In Erie Traffic Accident
About 2 20 p m yesterday two people were injured in an Erie traffic crash reported by the sheriff s office. Hazel Anderson of Chanute suffered head knee and hand injuries and Neal Trammell of Erie sustained head and hand injuries. Anderson rode in a 1953 Plymouth driven by Mabel Walker of Chanute while Trammell rode with Edward Brady of Erie in a 1950 Plymouth station wagon Brady 15 was cited for violating a restricted driver s license provisions.

Two Zellers Boys Safe After All Night Wamego Search
AP reports two brothers Pat Zellers nine and Joe Zellers seven were found alive on a Kansas River bridge eight miles east of Wamego after an all night search. About 50 officers volunteers 100 troops three helicopters from Ft Riley and bloodhounds aided the search. The boys said they built a crude sandbar shelter slept as night fell and were lost while playing.

Bristol of the engineers said early contracts for preliminary work may be let before July 1 with a $400 000 appropriation available and a $1 300 000 budget item. The dam promises flood protection across 250 miles from Burlington to Grand Lake and a later water storage rights inquiry is planned for downstream towns.
