February Fire Loss Totals $1000 in Chanute
Chanute fire department reports February losses around $1000 mostly from damage at the C. C. Wilson home 313 West Main. The department logged 12 runs in February including three residential calls two grass fires and two washings gasoline off streets along with township calls and a ball from a tree. January had no losses and 16 runs. Two month totals to March 1 1961 show 38 runs and a combined loss of about $650.

A car and a pickup truck collided at the US 59 and K108 junction on the west edge of Erie yesterday at about 4 10 p m. E M Boyce 37 of Stark drove a 1962 Chevrolet while Sherman Stegman 69 of St Paul R 1 drove a 1960 Chevrolet pickup.
