Mantz pursues feats beyond prizes in lifelong amateur spirit
Ernest Bud Mantz, 55, embodies the pure amateur ethos by pursuing diverse challenges for thrills and exploration. He values curiosity over medals, counting marathons from Boston to Athens as symbols of courage and personal growth rather than trophies. He leads Manz and Associates and serves on Outward Bound's board while chasing new limits worldwide.
