Mrs. Ema Hoshaw reports her yellow brown cat Tipple aged 16 has not replied to a Tribune advertisement. Six searchers and a fire chief have driven and walked many miles while neighbors hunt, hoping to learn what happened to Tippie.

Parole Bid Filed by Doyle Morris Smith in Burglary Case

Doyle Morris Smith who is serving a 15 year term from Neosho County for second degree burglary jail break grand larceny and auto theft will seek parole on August 25 according to the State prison at Lansing records indicate Smith and a companion were arrested for breaking into a Thayer store they broke jail at Erie and stole a county truck later arrested near Salina and returned to Neosho County for trial the truck was recovered.

Ashland news reports Ralph Sawyer, 52, superintendent of the city light plant, was electrocuted repairing a transformer on a pole after a thunder storm knocked out the supply.

Mishap Is Fatal For Ellis Davis

Ellis K. Davis age 51 of Parsons died when his pickup crashed on Old Galesburg road near Urbana. He was thrown from the vehicle, received a broken neck, and died at the scene. Davis was born March 1 1904 in Parsons and survived by his wife Elizabeth Winter. Funeral services are set for Tuesday at Washburn Blossom Funeral Home with burial at Thever cemetery.
